SmartHome Pool

The SmartPool explores the development of an in-house module that floats on a pool’s surface and monitors the pool's state in real time.

The SmartPool measures:

This data is captured via an ESP32 microcontroller, transmitted over WiFi and displayed on the SmartHome Server and the SmartHome Web-App. This allows the user access to all their pool data at any given time at home or via an Internet connected device. To add to this, the SmartPool features a self-sufficient design through the product's power system consisting of a rechargeable LiPo battery that is connected to a solar panel mounted on top of the enclosure.

Smart Pool
The SmartPool device floats on top of your pool measuring water quality and other data and alerts of suddenly created waves.

This project is being undertaken by UQ ITEE student Matthew Smart under the supervision of Dr Alex Pudmenzky.
