Tracking Valuable Assets on Campus

In collaboration with UQ Property and Facilities, UQ SmartCampus is currently developing a smart device to track valuable assets on campus. The location of assets will be able to be displayed on a map and if an asset is moved out of a user defined area (geo-fence) alerts can be sent to selected staff via email and/or SMS that contain a link to a map showing the path the asset has taken and the current location.

This project is being undertaken by UQ ITEE student Matthew Gannon under the supervision of Dr Alex Pudmenzky.
